Visiting Instructor of Chinese (Northfield, MN)

The Department of Asian Languages and Literatures at Carleton College invites applications for
a part-time visiting faculty appointment in Chinese Studies, at the rank of instructor, beginning January 1,
2025. This is a one-term appointment with a teaching load of 2 Chinese language courses in Carleton’s
Winter 2025 term (January to March). Candidates must at least have an M.A. degree in Chinese Studies,
Chinese Linguistics, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, or a related field with native or near-native
proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English. Experiences in teaching undergraduates in North America
are desirable.
