Responsibilities of the Mandarin Chinese Teacher:
-Develop and implement a full Mandarin Chinese curriculum that meets the school’s mission and goals.
-Develop knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade assigned.
-Promote students’ critical and creative thinking and analysis and develop instructional materials.
-Facilitate learning for all students using a variety of instructional methods, resources, and technological tools.
Requirements of the Teacher:
-Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Asian Studies, or a related subject is REQUIRED (even if you are a native speaker)
-Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level
-Ability to coach or lead extracurricular programs
-Travel or study abroad experience a plus
-Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
