Action Research AwardSeptemberAll teaching professionals, including college instructors, lecturers, K-12 teachers, community school teachers and graduate teaching assistants, except for university and college tenure-track and tenured facultyAn annual amount of $1,000 to be divided between 2 applications
YAO AwardNovemberAll graduate students (either a doctoral or a master’s student)Two to three recipients each receives a certificate and an award up to $850 to defray conference expenses
Shou-hsin Teng PrizeDecemberJunior faculty of Chinese in the U.S. and should have no more than five years of formal full-time teaching experience at a two-year or four-year college/universityOne recipient (either an individual or collaborative effort) receives a certificate and a prize of $1200

Cheng & Tsui Professional Development NovemberSupport the attendance of pre-collegiate (including heritage school) and collegiate teachers at training workshops, seminars, conferences, and other in-service learning experiences at local, national, or international levels; and/or to collaborate with a mentor teacher; with a focus on Chinese pedagogy and issues of Chinese teaching and learningAn annual amount of $1,000 to be split among 3-4 recipients
BLCUP Award for K-12 Professional Development JanuaryA current CLTA member; A Chinese language teacher in elementary, middle, or high school, including public, private, charter, and weekend enrichment schoolsA total amount up to $1,500 to support up to 6 awardees
CULTR Travel GrantMarchFirst-time CLTA conference attendees who are in year 1-5 of teaching; open to all K-12 and college-level teachersAn annual prize amount of $900 to be divided among 3 recipients
