Prof. Marjorie K.M. Chan

The CLTA Web Team currently consists of the following CLTA officers and Directors: CLTA Webmaster, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Journal Editor, Newsletter Editor, plus one member at large from the CLTA Board of Directors. Completing the regular team is our CLTA Web Assistant, Alan Peterka, who has served the association in this capacity since autumn 1997, in the development of a CLTA website, then hosted by the College of Humanities at the Ohio State University.

The bamboo image -- the prominent image on the CLTA home page design that also serves as the background image on the main pages -- was scanned and prepared by Dr. Shunde Jin in 1996. The image is from Charles Chi-jung Chu's bamboo painting that also graces the covers of the Journal and Newsletter of the Chinese Language Teachers Association. The two photos (cropped and miniaturized on the home page and here) were both taken by Professor Yea-fen Chen at the 2006 CLTA General Membership Meeting, held during the 2006 CLTA Annual Meeting. The first photo is of Professor Jennifer Liu, 2006 CLTA Acting-President, and the second photo is of Dr. Charles Miracle, 2006 CLTA Awards Committee Chair, with Professor Jing-heng Ma, our 2006 CLTA Walton Award recipient.
