letter-The CLTA Home Page was officially launched on 20 January 1998 by the Chinese Language Teachers Association (Chinese name: 中文教師學會 / 中文教师学会). From its inception in December 1997 to July 2007, the CLTA website was generously hosted and supported by the College of Humanities at The Ohio State University. With the migration to the current web server during July 2007 completed, effective 1 August 2007, the official website for the Chinese Language Teachers Association will now be CLTA-US.ORG.

Web browsers (and different versions thereof) do not display web pages identically, nor do they handle accessibility identically. On the visual dimension of size of text, for example, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 now offers the option to ignore font-size specifications in web pages and provides a page-zooming function (with potential need for horizontal scrolling to preserve page layout). Flexible text-zooming and/or page-zooming are supported by all the other major web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox (Win/Mac/Linux), Mozilla's Netscape (Win/Mac/Linux), Apple's Safari (Mac/Win), and Opera (Mac/Win/Linux, etc.), the last with impressive text- and page-zooming capabilities and extensive accessibility features. If you have trouble accessing this or other pages at the CLTA-US.ORG website and need to request an alternate format — or if you have suggestions for the website — contact CLTA Webmaster, Professor Marjorie Chan, at <webmaster@clta-us.org>.
