Chinese Language Teaching Fellow (Lancaster, PA)

Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a full-time position as a Chinese Language Teaching Fellow for the academic year 2018-19.  This position is renewable annually depending upon administrative approval, the curricular needs of the program and teaching performance. The successful applicant should have experience teaching Chinese at the college level in the United States and must have native or near-native proficiency in modern standard Chinese. The applicant should have a minimum three years of experience teaching modern Chinese and specialization in Chinese pedagogy and second language acquisition is highly desirable.  An M.A. degree in Chinese Linguistics, Teaching Pedagogy, Foreign Language Education or a closely related field is required. The successful candidate is responsible for teaching all levels of Chinese language courses and is expected to participate in curriculum development and other program activities.

Applicants must submit the following materials electronically via Interfolio ( letter of application, curriculum vitae,  graduate transcript, statement of teaching philosophy and a sampling of teaching evaluations.   Applicants should arrange for the direct submission to Interfolio of three letters of recommendation.  The deadline for submitting application is February 5, 2018. The review of application materials will start immediately after the deadline and will continue until the position is filled.
