Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (PR328/16-17)
The appointee is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and possibly at postgraduate degree levels related to classical Chinese literature or traditional Chinese culture. The appointee is also expected to: (a) teach courses in classical Chinese literature or traditional Chinese culture; (b) supervise students in thesis writing; (c) design, prepare, and revise course syllabi; and (d) perform administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in classical Chinese literature or traditional Chinese culture, or a relevant discipline, a high international standing in the field, plus an exceptional track record of high-quality research and scholarly publications.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing September 2017. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
